چکیده
شکستگی های ستون فقرات در بیماران اسپوندیلیت آنکیلوزان (Ankylosing Spondylitis) در مقایسه با بیماران معمولی به طور کلی چهار بار شایع‌تر است. شکستگی‌های ستون فقرات در این بیماران همراه با شیوع بالای ضایعات عصبی،و به خصوص نخاعی است. اکثر این شکستگی‌ها شامل گرفتاری هر سه کالوم ستون فقرات است که باعث ایجاد یک شکستگی ناپایدار می‌شود. متاسفانه تشخیص در اکثر موارد تاخیری است و یا اصلا تشخیص داده نمی‌شود. درصد مرگ و میر هم در این شکستگی‌ها بالا است. در این گزارش موردی سیر درمان یک بیمار 78 ساله که مبتلا به این بیماری بود بازگو شده است. این بیمار در ناحیه گردن دچار شکستگی شده بود که پس از مشکلات متعدد در نهایت با موفقیت درمان شد.

چکیده English

Introduction:
Spinal fractures are up to four times more common in patients with AS than the general population. Fractures in this population have a high incidence of neurologic complications, with spinal cord injury at initial presentation. The vast majority of these injuries are 3-column injuries resulting in an unstable spine. The diagnosis unfortunately, can frequently be missed or delayed. The mortality rate ranges from 18 to 32% in various series 1-4
