The aim of our study was to find out the prevalence of such abnormalities in neonates born at a referral center in northern Iran. Methods: This study was a descriptive cross-sectional study on the neonates born in Imam Khomeini hospital of Sari in a two-year period. The variables considered in our study were gestational age at the time of delivery, medical conditions complicating the pregnancy including diabetes, chronic hypertension, obstetrical complications like olygohydramnios, polyhydramnios, and malpresentations, mothers' age, chronic diabetes, hypertension, mothers' addiction, sex and birth weight of the newborn, history of having a child with congenital limb anomaly and the type of delivery. Photography of newborns' feet was taken on first day of birth to be assessed by an orthopaedic surgeon. In addition, the babies were examined the day after birth by one of the two neonatologists and the suspicious cases were referred to the orthopedic surgeon. Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS software. Results: From 2025 neonates studied, 210(10.4%) calcaneovalgus, 7 (0.3%) clubfoot, 156(7%) cases of ''PesVarus'', 22 cases of (1.1%) metatarsus adductus, and 1 case of polydactyl were recognized. Among all variables, only mothers' age and cigarette smoking during pregnancy had association with congenital foot abnormalities. Conclusion: The most prevalent congenital abnormalities in our study was Pes Calcaneovalgus and a positional mild ''Pes Varus''. The low rate of club foot, polydactyly and metatarsus adductus are notable,}, keywords = {Key words: clubfoot,Abnormality,Congenital,Prevalence,neonates}, title_fa = {شیوع ناهنجاری مادرزادی پا در نوزادان: (یک مطالعه توصیفی بر روی 2025 نوزاد در شمال ایران)}, abstract_fa = {پیش‎زمینه: ناهنجاری‎های مادرزادی پا یکی از شایع‎ترین ناهنجاری‎های مادرزادی است که موجب اختلال در راه‎رفتن طبیعی می‎شود و بر کیفیت زندگی بیماران تأثیر می‎گذارد. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی شیوع چنین ناهنجاری‎هایی در نوزادان متولد شده در مرکز مراجعه در شمال ایران است. مواد و روش‎ها: این مطالعه، یک مطالعه توصیفی مقطعی بر روی تمام نوزادان متولد شده در یک دوره دو ساله در بیمارستان امام خمینی ساری بود. متغیرهایی که در مطالعه ما مورد بررسی قرار گرفت، سن حاملگی در زمان زایمان، شرایط بالینی که بارداری را پیچیده می‎کند مانند دیابت، فشار خون مزمن، عوارض ناشی از بارداری نظیر اوگلوهیدرمانیا، پلی هیدرامنیوس و مالپرس، سن مادر، دیابت مزمن، فشار خون بالا، اعتیاد مادران، جنسیت و وزن تولد نوزاد، تاریخچه داشتن یک کودک با ناهنجاری اندام مادرزادی و نوع زایمان است. عکس‎برداری از پاهای نوزادان در اولین روز، تولد توسط جراح ارتوپدی ارزیابی شد. علاوه بر این، تمام نوزادان یک روز پس از زایمان توسط یکی از دو متخصص اطفال مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند و موارد مشکوک به جراح ارتوپد ارجاع شدند. تجزیه و تحلیل آماری با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS انجام شد. یافته‎ها: از 2025 نوزاد مورد مطالعه، 210 مورد (4/10%) کالکالئووالگوس، 7 (0.3%) پاچنبری، 156 مورد (7%) موارد "Pes Varus"، 22 مورد (1.1%) متارسوس آدوکتوس و 1 مورد پلی آداکتیل مشخص گردید. در میان همه متغیرها، تنها سن مادر و سیگار کشیدن در دوران بارداری با ناهنجاری های مادرزادی پا ارتباط داشت. نتیجه‎گیری: در مطالعه ما، شایع‎ترین ناهنجاری مادرزادی پا کالکالئووالگوس و "Pes Varus" موضعی خفیف پا بود. میزان کم پاچنبری ، پلی داکتیلی و متارسوس آدوکتوس قابل توجه است.}, keywords_fa = {واژه‎های کلیدی: پاچنبری,ناهنجاری,مادرزادی,شیوع,نوزادان}, url = {https://www.ijos.ir/article_121357.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijos.ir/article_121357_2641ab6c217c50a0d869ccca05b9b03b.pdf} }
