In the 1980’s the concept of “Evidence Based Medicine” became popular suggesting that all surgical practices must be based on evidence and not experience. According to the widespread publication of medical articles nowadays, the question often arises about the dependability and strength of the evidence.  We are reporting the level of evidence (LOE) of articles published in the Journal of the Iranian Orthopaedic Association between 1995 and 2008. Methods: All the articles published in the Iranian Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery (1995-2008) were studied separately by 5 groups of physicians. The level of evidence rating system was based on the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, which classifies articles into therapeutic, prognostic, diagnostic and economic subgroups. The articles are subsequently divided into five levels in accordance with the defined levels of evidence.Results: Over half of the articles (54%) were therapeutic, 9% diagnostic, 35% prognostic and 2% economic. Overall 2% were placed as level I, 8% level II, 5% level III, 84% level IV and 1% level V.Conclusion: Therapeutic and prognostic articles and evidence level IV were the most common types observable in the articles published in the Iranian Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery. Furthermore, level I to III articles in this journal had increased over 3.5 times between 1995 and 2008.}, keywords = {Research,Evidence-based medicine,Peer review, research}, title_fa = {سنجش «سطح شاهد» مقالات مجله جراحی استخوان و مفاصل ایران (از سال 1374 تا 1387)}, abstract_fa = {۱۳۸۷پیش‌زمینه: تا پیش از دهه ۸۰میلادی اصول درمانی کلیه رشته‌های جراحی مبتنی بر قضاوت شخصی جراحان بود. در دهه هشتاد بحث پزشکی مبتنی بر شواهد شکل گرفت و شیوه‌های درمانی بر پایه تحقیقات استاندارد استوار شدند. با گسترش دامنه تحقیقات و چاپ مقالات پزشکی، این سوال مطرح شد که نتایج مقالات تا چه حد قابل اطمینان هستند؟ این سوال با ارائه سطح شاهد مقاله به مقدار زیادی قابل پاسخ‌گویی است. هدف از این مقاله بررسی قدرت و سطح شواهد مقالات منتشر شده در مجله جراحی استخوان و مفاصل ایران از سال ۱۳۷۴تا ۱۳۸۷بود.مواد و روش‌ها: مقالات منتشر شده در مجله جراحی استخوان و مفاصل ایران (۱۳۸۷-۱۳۷۴) توسط پنج پزشک، مطابق استانداردهای مجله جراحی استخوان و مفاصل آمریکا، به‌طور جداگانه سطح‌بندی و نتایج مقایسه شدند. در این نظام ابتدا مقالات به چهار زیر گروه درمانی، تشخیصی، پیش‌ آگهی و اقتصادی تقسیم شدند و سپس هر کدام در سطوح ۱ تا ۵ قرار گرفتند.یافته‌ها: ۵۴% مقالات درمانی، ۹% تشخیصی، ۳۵% پیش‌آگهی و ۲% بررسی صرفه اقتصادی بودند. از نظر سطح شاهد، ۲% در سطح یک،۸% سطح دو، ۵% سطح سه، ۸۴% سطح چهار و ۱% در سطح پنج قرار گرفتند.نتیجه‌گیری: بیشتر مقالات این مجله از نوع درمانی و پیش‌آگهی و در سطح 4 بودند. همچنین میزان مقالات سطوح ۱ تا ۳ در این نشریه در سال ۱۳۷۴به بیش از ۳/۵ برابر در سال  ۱۳۸۷ افزایش یافته بود.}, keywords_fa = {پژوهش,پزشکی مبتنی بر شواهد,پژوهش داوران همتا}, url = {https://www.ijos.ir/article_121146.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijos.ir/article_121146_1527f2658c8eeff612cb38daf647cfad.pdf} }
